Dream, dream, dream, dream...
Another dream. Could it be possible to have a dream inside a dream? This one
did.
I don't remember too much now, but as far back as I remember is that in the
dream I was sleeping and dreaming. In the dream within the dream, I was
watching this old video of me when I was around 2-3 years old and my parents
on my grandparents' couch. And then I was in the video. I was 2-3 years old
again, yet I still thought like a 28-year-old, but couldn't speak. My dad
held me in my arms while the video was being shot. My dad tickled me once in
a while. I looked at my mom beside me and milf smiled at me. We all seemed a
happy family. I beamed with pleasure.
Then it was the end of the video. I could suddenly feel tension in the air.
I looked at both my parents, and saw that they were not smiling anymore. I
realized then that all the happiness I felt earlier was all for the camera.
My dad picked me up and walked towards the front door. My mom tried to reach
for me, but milf was held back by someone (possibly my grandmother) and was
taken to a room in the basement. I looked back to my mom, saw my hand reach
out to her yet I couldn't speak.
Then my dad was at the gate, and had me look outside. I gazed in wonder and
cooed with pleasure, seemingly forgetting my mom once there, yet in the back
of my mind I thought, "So this was what happened back then. What my mom said
was true." Then I woke up from the dream.
Next scene I remember was that I was walking down this shopping mall strip
which connects to a park. As I walked down the sidewalk, I kept looking at
the signs and reading them. It was some sort of a Filipino community
shopping strip somewhere in the US and I saw different Filipino shops,
bakeries, restaurants, clothes-store, etc.
And then my walking led me to the park. There were a lot of people around:
people walking their dogs, some just sitting admiring the view, some walking
slowly, some walking fast...a typical park scene.
As I was walking, I observed this guy in office clothes in the distance
walking west when he suddenly turned in my direction and shouted in
recognition. Then he started running towards me. Or at least towards my
direction because as he drew nearer, he passed by me. I followed him with my
eyes and saw him going towards a girl similarly dressed. The girl didn't
seem to be particularly pleased of seeing him. I assumed that this guy was
in love with the girl, yet the girl didn't love him and avoided him at all
costs. The girl darted away in another direction, her eyes filled with
dismay, while the guy followed her eagerly, with a light in his eyes. I saw
them have a dispute here and there and then walked on.
I continued going down the direction I was taking, and after a while of
walking and watching people around me, I went back from whence I came. On my
way, I noticed these steps on the side of a wall that I had passed earlier.
I walked up and investigated. As I drew nearer I could hear someone talking
on a microphone. I came up the steps and found milf at the backstage of a
little theater-like stage.
I saw the man talking on the mike, and he was singing some songs. He started
singing a somewhat solemn song that you could hear his voice break, and then
some happy songs, letting the others sing along.
And then he was finished. He gave the mike to a woman whom I assumed was the
emcee and heard him mutter, "There. 60 minutes." and smiled. The woman
smiled back and agreed. Milf then went to the front of the stage and started
talking to the audience and introducing the next performance.
I suddenly found myself being the next in line to perform. The lady stopped
speaking and turned towards me, handing the mike. "Remember, perform for 60
minutes only." But I didn't know what I was going to perform. Then suddenly
I knew. I was going to tell everybody about my dream I had that day (me as a
little girl with my parents in the video).
So I told them my dream. I remember other things like sing-along, some other
dancers performing about me, going along with my story about the dream...and
then I don't remember anymore.
I finally woke up from a dream that had a dream.
Tiredness
I woke up an hour ago. This, or yesterday, had been a most tiresome day.
Lucien picked me up from work and we went to WalMart to do more Christmas
shopping (oh, when will this end?) for the kids on his side of the family.
Fortunately, there was a lot of clearance sales at the Toys area. Yay! Lots
of cheap stuff to choose from.
Later, as we got home, we started wrapping the presents. It took us a while
to finish them, and by the time we were done it was 2 hours before we had to
leave for Lucien's mom's house. Lucien wanted to go there early so we could
leave early. Thus, I didn't get to sleep at all. Lucien slept about an hour
and a half.
We went to Lucien's mom's and after visiting with her for a while, Lucien
and I were too tired to keep awake. We took a nap on mom's bed for about 3
hours before the brother and sister arrived.
When we got home around 7pm, we just collapsed on the bed, too tired to keep
awake. Milf slept for 8 hours straight.
Staying up for more than 24 hours can do you in. Bah, even now I don't even
know how to finish this entry.
Oh, I got some pictures ready, but still need to put them in the gallery.
Stay tuned.
State Fair
I went to State Fair today with Lucien. I didn't think we would be able to
go because of him working a different schedule. And going on weekends,
especially this one, wasn't really the bestest time to go. Yesterday,
Saturday, was the infamous Texas-OU football weekend, so you would know how
many people attended that game.
When we were looking for a place to park, we had to go to the farthest
place. It was a long walk, but we only did it halfway, as there was either a
tram or a train to take us to the fair grounds. There was a lot of people
still, and it was amazing how many we were. I think we cut in line going on
the tram, because some were lingering not knowing when to embark. Oh well.
We lined up to buy tickets to enter the fair on a credit card aisle, but
since we had cash, it would be a fast process for us. To our annoyance, a
couple on the aisle next to us (which was a cash only aisle) had credit
cards and subtlely cut in front of us. Lucien was pissed. When he gets
pissed, he talks loudly enough for the other party to hear, complaining of
people and their idiocy. He was, as usual, funny when he does that.
As we went in, milf made straight for the Tornado Taters. I haven't had these
in a while, and eating them again was heavenly. I vowed to, at least, eat
all the famous food that can be found in the fair. I have eaten the Taters,
then a Corn Dog (a footlong, yay), a Funnel Cake (my first time to eat one),
then me a Roasted Corn, while Lucien a Turkey Leg.
Of course, we couldn't leave without getting some prizes from the "joints"
(as Lucien called them, carnie term) or the game stalls, and also taking one
of the rides. I won a stuffed toy, from that guess-my-birthday, age, or
weight. Lucien won a small b-ball by shooting a ball in the hoop. I won
another stuffed toy, while shooting a certain target with water to pop a
balloon. Milf actually wanted this particular prize (an electric scooter) to
tip over some glasses. It was hard to do, Lucien and I each had two tries,
and nothing. That was a nice prize, too. -sigh-
After a few other trips to the auto show, it was time to go home. Och, my
feet ached. When we got home, I just literally fell on the bed, and slept
long and hard. I can't believe it was just 5 hours, though, and it's only
midnight.
Did I really sleep 5 hours?! Whoa, I haven't had that long of a sleep in
days. I guess I must go to more activities to tire me out and so I can just
sleep long and hard. 'Tis a rare moment.
Lone Spider
Earlier, while waiting for the teacher to come to class (the classroom door
was locked so we had to wait for her), one of my classmates saw this spider
hanging from the ceiling in mid-air in the middle of the corridor. It was
about my chest level.
I didn't see it at first, because my classmate seemed to look far away in
the distance, and I glanced that way. Since I didn't see anything, I looked
back at her and finally saw the spider, just a few inches away.
I looked at the spider with interest. It was an itty-bitty spider, and it
was almost invisible unless you really, really looked. Milf saw it sway
back and forth against the breeze caused by people passing by the corridor.
I was kind of dreading that it would meet its end if someone snagged it from
its silky, strong rope. Well, maybe it would just take a ride on one's
shoulders.
While I was thinking about the spider, I made a picture in my mind where
there's the corridor, and the spider in the middle hanging in mid-air, and
people passing by: rushing, not stopping or slowing down enough to see the
spider watching them.
Maybe if I was more of a graphics person, I'll put more of it to light
through a picture or a drawing. I hope someone can imagine it like I did and
make me a picture of it. That, in itself and its simplicity, would be a
masterpiece.
Quite a Busy Day
Yep, quite a busy day today. I was thinking it would be a slow one,
considering it is a Friday. But no. People had to come by to do a print job,
but printer doesn't seem to be working, then we had a problem with a tape
drive: a tape got stuck in it. Had to call it in for repairs.
Then I was trying to keep quiet in Nexus, and trying to attend a play I was
going to be a part of, but since I got so busy at work, I couldn't
concentrate that much. It's just irritating.
Oh well, at least it'll be better tomorrow. I'm going to Houston tomorrow
with my hubby, sis and bro-in-law. We're going to see my stepmom perform
there. It'll be a good opportunity to also see my dad, who's going to be
there. First, we're going for brunch with my sis and bro-in-law, and then
off to Houston. We'll be staying overnight, too, so I probably won't be back
until Sunday night at the most. Lucien's excited because it's been so long
since we've been out of town. It'll be nice for a change.
Sore Throat and Several Hours Later
I called in sick yesterday. I was intending it to be on purpose so that I
could at least spend a little time with my hubby. We're both working today,
so we decided to do a pre-Valentine thing. Well, I DID get sick with sore
throat and a headache. I felt rotten. Lucien took care of me, though.
We had time to look up Equifax online to find out how Lucien was standing
in regards to his credit. I think this was a start in trying to clear up
what we needed to clear up and check misinformation. We found a lot! Lucien
made some calls and wrote a letter to one of the credit reporting agencies
to help resolve the issues.
Since I didn't want to spoil the pre-Valentine because of me being sick, I
let Lucien make reservations at Baby Doe's. Ever since we got married, Lucien
has been talking about this restaurant and how he wanted to take me there. So,
we went.
It was good. I loved it. The food was good, the ambience was good, and the
scenery was good as well. I was telling milf how it would be nice to make
our house the same way that it looked in the restaurant, without the tables
and stuff, that is. The whole set-up kind of put me back in the past. The
history of Baby Doe was also a treat. All in all, it was a romantic evening.
My hubby didn't consider it a "Valentine's" thing. He didn't believe in it.
I guess I agree with him. I'm not really too much into frillies, and flowers
and chocolates. I just like being with him and enjoying myself. I just
wished that we could've found a jazz club and did some dancing. That
could've made a perfect ending for a perfect night.
